Preventing diaper rash — a practical guide

Barrier creams, change frequency, and when zinc oxide is your best friend.

Change diapers every 2–3 hours during the day and at least once overnight when wet.

Clean gently with fragrance-free wipes or warm water — pat dry, don't rub.

Apply a thin layer of zinc oxide barrier cream at every change if baby is prone to rash.

Give skin air time when possible — a few minutes without a diaper helps healing.
